Continuing with its policy of Technological Social Responsibility, CERIUM TECNOLOGÍAS, a network and technology integration company specializing in the hotel sector, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish company ECO-ONE, specialized in 360º hotel sustainability.
The collaboration agreement between CERIUM and ECO-ONE reinforces the innovative proposals of both companies, in terms of sustainable solutions and technologies, by offering the hotel sector a sustainable approach both in the design of networks and their energy efficiency, thus helping hotels on their way to sustainability, efficiency and improving their profitability.
The GPON technology networks that CERIUM installs are passive and do not require intermediate equipment, which contributes to energy savings and prevents the generation of waste or cyber-garbage. In addition, the wiring is waterproof, it does not rust, its life cycle is very high and, being made of glass, it is recyclable. A CERIUM fiber network uses up to 90% less copper and up to 84% less energy than traditional networks, plus environmental benefits including up to 90% reduction in air conditioning requirements. The deployment of these networks facilitates obtaining GREEN BUILDING green certificates, such as LEED or EDGE.
To these advantages we must add that the quality of our GPON networks and the reduction of incidents (less maintenance resources) produce half the breakdowns than traditional copper networks, thus reducing the number of trips and the need of spare parts, with the consequent improvement in CO2 emissions and garbage recycling.
In addition to these characteristics, from a technical and functional point of view, CERIUM networks are much more efficient since they offer greater connectivity, range and bandwidth for the guest, being an accomplice in providing the hotel with the functionality of its services and improve your user experience in all areas of your guest experience.
To stimulate and raise awareness in the hotel sector, ECO-ONE is providing a free personalized diagnosis to each hotel in order to analyze the sustainability and efficiency of the hotel and then propose proposals that make it a more sustainable and profitable space. How could it be otherwise, through this agreement, CERIUM joins this initiative and expands it, also offering hotels the possibility of installing and enjoying a captive portal for Wi-Fi network management at zero cost.
With this alliance with ECO-ONE, CERIUM positions itself as the reference network integrator in the field of sustainability, sharing the common goal of helping Spanish tourism to be more sustainable and profitable.
